Contract for Black America

15 Amendment allows blacks to vote, but in the words of Ice Cube “What’s in it for us”?   That is something to really think about. Are we voting democratic just because that’s what we know we are supposed to do? Or is it really to help the black community? Now I know it’s about ALL people, but each community fights for their own first, and its time we do the same.    I am not saying don’t vote because our black community fought for that right and we got it based on the 15th amendment.    However, we have to be smart with our vote.    Check out this article regarding the black community voting and getting a signed contract, please share with me and let me know your thoughts.  Read the article below. Should we vote if we do not have a Black America contract? Black businesses have dropped 45 %, (almost half), Hopefully, that will help be your focus as you are answering these questions. https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/ice-cube-dem...

Alliance

Alliances are necessary.  If you want to go at a swift pace go alone.  If you want to go slowly, go together. ~LWB Butterfly  πŸ¦‹   When we hear the word “ alliance ” we think of a business relationship, but I want to deprogram our thinking for a moment. The alliance is simply a connection or relationship among people as well as businesses.  When people come together they must have a mutual reason that will benefit a situation.  There is  a common ground and objective to agree upon. When unity is executed it allows creativity, talent, and causes people to have a focus. It allows  situations to be able to achieve goals and sometimes takes risks.  For example, there is a movement called Black Lives Matter (BLM), and it has allowed policemen to see the importance Of black lives, and have respect for the black community. It has caused people to come together and stand for justice on behalf of black people.  The goal of t...

United we Stand! Where do we go from here?

United we Stand! Where do we go from here?  Unity Executes  We know the saying “United we stand and  divide we fall”.   As a black community, we should not be in a battle warring against one another.    If we are, that means we are one another’s enemies. We will be forced to divide from each other and then start to be defensive, which will lead us to become vulnerable and start attacking each other. We have to look at the root of the problem: slavery. We cannot allow it to keep causing us to function with this same mindset. We have to deprogram our thinking and rise above it. We war against our own melanin because we think, if one is black and light-skinned, they are better than the darker skinned person.    How foolish is that? Our skin does not define us. We were tricked to think that, and truth be told, most of us believe it.    The white community uses these same tactics against our people to distract us from the tru...

Unpack your L.I.F.E Standards

Unpack your L.I.F.E Standards: Ask questions early so you want be crushed later.  Unpacking situations leads to confidence not chaos! ~LWB Butterfly  πŸ¦‹   As an educator before we start a new lesson showing and introducing a new skill we must unpack the standard first just so that we understand how to structure the assignments for the students. Some standards require more configuration than others. Some standards are harder to solve then others. As the teacher we will find those factors out before the student; therefore we can prevent any unexpected situations when we are giving instruction.  Life to me is the same way, there are somethings that we must unpack before we enter into it. A lot of times we jump right into situations without analyzing it. In life, we deal with a lot of elements that can cause us to ignore some of the  framework that comes with it. We may even ask questions like why should I put all my time to make sure I am making the ...

A new way to celebrate: It’s time to Transition

May Blog A new way to Celebrate: It’s time to Transition  Quote: Transitioning is not easy, because we exit from what we knew and enter into what is unknown. ~LWB Butterfly  May is known as a month of transition. It is time for a change, especially now! May typically is a celebratory month worldwide. People are celebrating birthdays (including me), Mother’s Day, Proms, Graduations, and Weddings. All of these occasions are worth celebrating. It is time to show those you know just how valuable they are and how proud of their achievements you are. For over seven weeks our world was struck with a pandemic that has cause us not to have any desires to celebrate. So many people will blow out their candles alone, there may be people who have lost their mothers, So many teens will not dress up for the prom, Several seniors will not walk across the stage, and couples who will not be saying “I do” in front of their family and friends. However, don’t allow this temporary ...

Blossom into the Newer You!

Blossom into the Newer You! Reflection reveals Newness. ~ LWB Butterfly  πŸ¦‹   April showers bring May flowers... just because we are in a pandemic, does not mean you cannot still blossom into a newer you. As a matter of fact, during this time we can reflect on the bigger picture. Which is thinking about your purpose and why God allowed you to witness what is going on in our nation right now. We are apart of history and this is the time to bloom into what you did not have time for before the  pandemic.   We are being flooded with nothing but time. The rain for us now is our ideas. What ideas do you have that you could not reflect on before the COVID 19? Your busy life has calmed down for now. This pandemic is for a season and while we are in spring, let’s prepare for an amazing summer.    Now is your time so that when May comes, you will be able to see the results from the rain (your ideas).    Remember, rain is a sign of multitude....

Bloom from the Heart and not from a Vase!

February 2020 Bloom from the Heart and not from a Vase!  This is the month that is known for showing a lot of eros energy towards one another because of this man-made holiday that is on our calendar.    Sometimes this type of love can cause more pain than love because of the systematic purposes behind it.    For example, if you are in a relationship and your partner does not acknowledge the ”love day” by showering a person with gifts, it makes them feel some type of way.    It is really hard not to get caught up in the hype on that day because of the experiences that we have been taught when it comes to appreciating who you are with.    I just want to remind you to not fall into the trap of messing up your situation by pressuring who you are with to do something for you that they may do all year long. This year think about how your partner has bloom into your heart throughout the relationship and you will value them for the many ways t...
